Your rôle with us

Remuneration/Benefits

We offer support and social
networking for gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgender
people, living or working
in the London Borough of
Haringey. We do currently
not charge any fees and
are open to all of the LGBT
community. We do NOT
have political allegiances
but merely provide a place
where anyone can safely
meet.

In our meeting on 13 Apr 08,
the group elected an interim
chair who will hand over to
the new chair once elected.

As harinGAY 's chairperson,
your primary rôle will be to
defend harinGAY 's principles
and beliefs.
You will represent the group
formally and your personal
greeting will appear on the
front page of our website.
Whilst no one can guarantee
100% attendance at meetings
we would appreciate if you
were able to attend at least
once a month.

Fund-raising experience
would be a great asset as this
would enable harinGAY to
look ahead and plan.

Your main responsibility is to
chair meetings and ensure
that everyone on our mailing
and phone list is invited to
each meeting.

Personal requirements are
that you are at least living
or working in L.B. Haringey.
HarinGAY would prefer a
person who is either gay,
lesbian, bisexual or transexual/
transgender, as this is what we
represent. However, we will
not preclude applicants from
other backgrounds provided
they are dedicated to our
course.

As harinGAY is operating
without a budget at the
moment, we would not be
able to pay the chairperson.

You will, however, receive
in turn, the opportunity to
enjoy a relaxed afternoon
with pleasant people in our
modern time, when real
people don't seem to get
together any more.

You will also have the
opportunity to voice your
personal message on our
frontpage on the web.
